Unemployed bursaries are offered to learners who have been accepted to study at accredited institutions of higher learning (post-school learning). These learners must not be employed fulltime and they must be enrolled for a career related to the transport sector either on a full-time or on a part-time basis - Aviation Training and Diving Programmes are also included.

Applicants must satisfy the minimum entry criteria when applying for the bursary (failure to meet all the requirements leads to the disqualification of applications);
